Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) Kolkata is a premier autonomous Institution established by the Ministry of Education, Govt. of India, to promote high-quality science education and research in the country. The Institute invites applications from Indian nationals for for Research Associate-I (RA-I) position for the sponsored project undertaken in Centre for Climate and Environmental Studies (CCES).

Title of the Project: Co-creating Sustainable Agri-Water Use in the Hindon sub-basin–A Multi Scale Participatory Approach

Funding Agency: Department of Science and Technology (DST)

Tenure of Project: This temporary position is initially for a period of 12 months and tenable only for the duration of the project subject to satisfactory performance.

Job Responsibilities: Preparation and analysis of water samples for nitrate isotopes.

Essential Qualifications: Ph.D. in Biogeochemistry or Stable Isotope Geochemistry or Related field with at least one research paper in Science Citation Indexed (SCI) journal.

Desirable qualifications: Working experience in stable isotope ratio mass spectrometer is desirable. 

Fellowship:  Rs. 47,000/- with 24% HRA

Age Limit: Upper age limit: 35 years as on the day on which the application is made. The upper age limit is relaxable upto 5 years in the case of candidates belonging to scheduled castes/tribes/OBC, women and physically handicapped candidates.
