Postdoctoral Position in Theoretical Particle Physics
IITGN invites applications for a
Postdoctoral Position in Theoretical Particle Physics for a research project
titled “Unraveling Dark Matter through Hadron Decays” jointly funded by
DAE-BRNS and IIT Gandhinagar. The start date can be at the earliest possible.
Job Description
The candidate will be required to work in
Theoretical Particle Physics, specifically in the areas of Flavor Physics and
Dark Matter Physics. The project will mostly involve analytic computations,
with some numerical analysis using open-access software. The candidate will
also participate in teaching and academic activities as per institute norms.
Eligibility
- Good academic record (minimum
of 60% or equivalent grade from Graduation onwards and 55% or equivalent grade
in Class 10th and 12th).
- A PhD degree in Theoretical
Particle Physics. Candidates who have submitted their thesis are also eligible.
- Experience in B-physics and Dark Matter physics will be preferred.
Duration: Initial appointment is for 1 year, extendable by 1 more year after successful assessment.
Remuneration
Consolidated ₹72,000 per month.
